Throughout Virginia there are sculpture installations of the word LOVE by the Virginia Tourism Corporation. A traveling version of the sculptures was in Colonial Williamsburg’s Merchants Square this past week. Merchants Square held a photo contest and this was my entry that I call Gathering
The Colonial Williamsburg interpreters are accustomed to having their picture taken. This woman saw me and knew what I had in mind. She was kind enough to pose her head in several positions – this was my favorite image from the group.
Sarah, Olivia and I spent most of a morning here exploring an incredible farmers market and lots of great shops. We picked up lunch at one of the small cafes and ate on the back deck overlooking the ferryboats coming and going.
I took this shot seconds before a security guard chased me away because I was using a tripod :-)
