I am incredibly blessed to have an ‘eye’ for photography. Eric Liddell said it best in the 1981 movie Chariots of Fire, “I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel His pleasure”. Can you relate? What is your passion or calling? I feel God’s pleasure when I create. Light Struck Image is part of my desire to honor this calling to make photographs.
Photography has been part of my life for many years. My father first taught me to use a camera and develop film in our basement. While in college, black and white photography was a requirement for my bachelor of fine arts. It was then that the seeds of my passion for photography really began to grow. For a few years after college I picked up the camera here and there but that all changed when I bought my first DSLR. Since 2007, photography has been my main artistic pursuit.
Professionally speaking, I have worked for Colonial Williamsburg, launched and sold a successful apparel business and most recently worked with Hewlett-Packard assisting in sales for a new web service. Currently, I work with the Datacolor Technical Support Team for their Imaging products. These products are designed to provide consistent color management & calibration for cameras, monitors, printers, projectors and televisions. I also photograph real estate for builders and events.
“THE ARTIST’S LIFE IS ABOUT CREATING AND SHARING, NOT CREATING AND HORDING”.
