Throughout Virginia there are sculpture installations of the word LOVE by the Virginia Tourism Corporation. A traveling version of the sculptures was in Colonial Williamsburg’s Merchants Square this past week. Merchants Square held a photo contest and this was my entry that I call Gathering
The Colonial Williamsburg interpreters are accustomed to having their picture taken. This woman saw me and knew what I had in mind. She was kind enough to pose her head in several positions – this was my favorite image from the group.
My weekend with the Infrared converted D800 was a success; I am really going to miss shooting with it. Haven’t decided if I am going to save for one of my own. Here is one of my favorite images from this weekend shot in Colonial Williamsburg.
My parents recently moved out of the Northern Virginia/DC area. They are very happy with their new home in Fredericksburg, VA but I do miss having easy access to great locations to photograph like the Marine Corps War Memorial.
