Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend Kelby Training’s Photoshop for Photographers seminar led by RC Concepcion. I met RC last November in Utah; it was great to hang out before the seminar and catch up.
I decided to do a little exploring before heading home from Richmond. I never had the chance to walk along the flood wall to photograph Richmond’s skyline. I was expecting a little different view; I thought it would be one of those iconic skyline shots but I guess I was just in the wrong location.
I made this shot from the top of the flood wall. I don’t normally process my images like this but the scene had such a gritty feel. I simply needed to process it in this manner to best convey what I saw and felt.
