Several days ago, RC Concepcion posted a series of bracketed shots from his recent trip to Bodie for anyone to process. His finished image and source files are available on his site ( www.aboutrc.com )
Ansel Adams wrote extensively about previsualization. He defined it as “the ability to anticipate a finished image before making the exposure”. When you process images by another photographer you don’t know exactly what they were anticipating. Since you only get part of the story, it is a fun exercise to craft an image from the part of the story that you know.
RC plans on scheduling a hangout on Google Plus to give us the rest of the story and talk about processing in the near future.
I processed this image by manually blending two exposures in Photoshop. I used Topaz Adjust, Topaz Detail, Noiseware and Nik Viveza for final adjustments. I also used a dodge/burn layer to create a vignette and direction within the image.
